About The Position

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class B Driver for our Frankfort, IL Location. This role is responsible for safely delivering products to job sites, physically unloading material per customer requests, receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory. The company is family-owned and operated, with a focus on career advancement and building strong business relationships. They have been in operation for nearly 50 years and serve 15 states with over 65 locations.

Requirements

CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license
1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience
Ability to drive a manual transmission
Current DOT medical card
Clean driving record
Must be at least 21 years of age
Heavy Lifting experience
Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen
Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.

Nice To Haves

Flatbed with Moffett and/or Boom experience desired, but willing to train
Box Truck experience desired, but willing to train
Flatbed and moffett experience desired, but willing to train
Boom Truck and/or Crane experience desired, but willing to train

Responsibilities

Safely deliver products to the job site
Physically unload material per the customer's request
Receive materials in the warehouse
Load trucks
Process inventory
Deliveries will include unloading shingles on one and two story homes with the use of industry specific heavy equipment
Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations
Unload trucks and receive merchandise at warehouse
Move materials and items from receiving to its designated area
