Requirements

Valid Class B CDL license required
1-2 years of Commercial Driving experience is a must
Clean driving record with a satisfactory MVR
Previous experience driving commercial vehicles preferred
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, loading, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Familiarity with DOT compliance and pre/post-trip inspection procedures
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to use computerized software on tablet for collection reporting is a Must.

Nice To Haves

Sometimes you work with a helper and sometimes you have to work alone, driving and collecting at same time depending on size of route.

Responsibilities

Operate a Class B commercial vehicle to collect and transport yard waste and organic materials on local routes
Safely load and unload yard waste, brush, leaves, and other organic debris
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
Follow assigned collection routes efficiently and on schedule
Maintain a clean, organized, and properly functioning vehicle at all times
Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding route progress or issues
Adhere to all local traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies
Ability to handle physical workload, must be able to lift 50 pounds all day.
Ability to read a map and navigate without a cell phone.
