Requirements

Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Air Brake Endorsement.
Minimum of one year of commercial driving experience.
Ability to meet DOT requirements and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for safety and operational purposes.
Knowledge of vehicle systems necessary to complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class B garbage truck on residential and commercial collection routes.
Follow route schedules and service all assigned customers accurately and efficiently.
Read route sheets and utilize routing technology as required.
Operate hydraulic systems and automated collection equipment.
Load, lift, dump, and service refuse, recycling, and waste containers safely.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
Identify and report mechanical issues, safety concerns, accidents, or vehicle damage.
Navigate residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, construction zones, and high-traffic areas safely.
Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
Provide professional customer service while interacting with residents, businesses, and municipal customers.
Complete assigned routes independently while adapting to traffic, weather, and operational changes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
