About The Position

ABC Supply, America’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, is seeking a Class B CDL Delivery Truck Driver. This role ensures the safety of each delivery from the moment you leave the facility until the job is completed. ABC Supply is an employee-first company recognized for its positive workplace culture. This position offers professional driving opportunities with local routes, allowing drivers to be home every night. Responsibilities may extend to warehouse duties such as loading and unloading materials.

Requirements

• Valid CDL – Class B minimum.
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (common cargo is 70-pound bundles of shingles).
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be willing to work some Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

• Straight, box and/or knuckle boom truck experience is preferred.
• Trailer mounted forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone during each job site.
• Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely.
• Document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system.
• Complete a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unload them.
• Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner.
• Provide the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collect the entire due amount on COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials onto or off of trucks or into the warehouse as assigned.
