About The Position

American Welding and Gas (AWG), a leading provider of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, is seeking a Delivery Driver with a CDL-B license to join their team in Huntsville, AL. This role offers a $1500 Sign-On Bonus and is ideal for a Class B CDL driver who values safety and works with high-quality equipment. Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL required with Hazmat and Air Brake endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Able to read and write English
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, background assessment, and company-administered road test

Nice To Haves

• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Air Brake endorsements

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Ability to communicate with customers.
