About The Position

J&J Bros – A Carabetta Company is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class B Bucket Truck Driver / Operator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced operator who is comfortable working at heights and has a strong background in tree care, utility, or landscape maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a Class B bucket truck to perform tree trimming, pruning, removals, and other outdoor maintenance projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional tree care experience required.
  • Previous experience operating a bucket truck in a professional environment.
  • Knowledge of tree trimming, pruning, removals, and general landscape maintenance.
  • Experience using chainsaws, rigging equipment, and related tree care tools.
  • Ability to safely work at heights and in various outdoor weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GIS or mapping technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class B bucket truck to perform tree trimming, pruning, removals, and related services.
  • Drive company vehicles to and from job sites while complying with all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
  • Position and maneuver bucket trucks safely to access elevated work areas.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance and ensure all tools are in safe working condition.
  • Assist with rigging, lowering, and securing equipment and materials during tree care operations.
  • Utilize GIS or mapping technology, when applicable, to identify and navigate work locations.
  • Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on every job site.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and industry safety standards and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
