About The Position
CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) is seeking a Class A Route Delivery Driver with a strong commitment to customer service and safety. This role involves operating a commercial vehicle to transport freight efficiently and on time to designated locations. Responsibilities include unloading, sorting, palletizing, and reloading various types of freight, both manually and with mechanical assistance. The driver will also be responsible for completing all required government and company paperwork.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 21 years of age
- 1 year of commercial driving experience
- No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
- No more than 3 traffic violations (in the past 3 years)
- Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain them (renewals reimbursable)
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Deliver and/or pick up freight to/from customer locations and/or a terminal as instructed by dispatch or the immediate supervisor.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point.
- Load and/or unload a wide variety of freight onto and off a company motor vehicle, at customer locations and at the terminal, with or without mechanical assistance depending on the size of freight.
