About The Position

DSL Express is seeking Owner Operators for Over-The-Road (OTR) positions. We offer high percentage take-home pay and consistent load volume. Solo Owner Operators can expect average gross earnings of $7,000 to $10,000 per week during slow seasons (January-March, July-August) and $9,000 to $12,000+ per week during peak seasons. Team drivers can earn approximately 1.7 times more gross pay per week. We are not a mega-carrier and have been in business for 20 years, with multiple offices across the US. We offer 24-hour dispatch, built-in mechanic shops, and a large warehouse. We pride ourselves on our relationships with other carriers and offer a family-like atmosphere with mega-carrier resources. We are looking for motivated, professional, and hard-working individuals who prioritize safety and performance.

Requirements

Must have a Class A CDL.
Minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
Must have a reliable tractor.
Must have a clean MVR and reasonable PSP report.
Must be at least 23 years old.
Must be able to work with modern ELD systems.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Must have a valid medical card.
Must have a stable work history and good references.
No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents in the last 3 years.
No failed or refused drug or alcohol test in the last 4 years.
No DWI's, DUI's and BAC's in the last 4 years.
No reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years.
No license suspension for points, unpaid tickets in the last 3 years.
No more than 2 moving violations during the last year.
Must provide no less than 3 years of work history, non-driving work history for the past 3 years will also be verified.
Previous employers and references will be checked and must be verifiable.

Nice To Haves

Additional Endorsements are a bonus.
Old-school truckers desired.
Midwest preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Operate a Class A CDL vehicle for Over-The-Road (OTR) routes.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean MVR and PSP report.
Ensure the reliability of your tractor.
Accept no-touch freight, including drop and hook and live load/unload.
Manage routes and schedule effectively to maximize earnings.
Utilize ELD systems for compliance.
Participate in the Owner-Operator of the Month program.
Ensure trucks pass DOT inspections.
