About The Position
Darling Ingredients is looking to hire a Class A or B CDL Route Driver for our plant in Seneca, KS. This is an entry-level driving job with a stable worldwide company. A Route Driver is responsible for the operation of a truck to collect fabrication material from meat processors, slaughter facilities, grocery stores, and picking up farm mortalities.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Class A or B driver's license.
- Must have a tanker endorsement.
- Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/
Nice To Haves
- Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment.
- Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
Responsibilities
- Collects and inspects products at time of pick up for any foreign material at customer location.
- Maintains an Electronic DOT log.
- Responsible and operates vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations.
- Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections; observes company policy, procedures and safety rules.
- Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.
- Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis.
- Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
- All other duties as assigned by management
