This role involves the timely transfer of freight to designated locations, the hooking and unhooking of commercial trailers, and the meticulous completion of all necessary paperwork in compliance with government regulations and company policies. Linehaul Drivers benefit from being home daily with weekends off, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. The position operates Monday through Friday, with a 2:30 am start time, covering a route from Des Moines, IA to Eagan, MN and back to Des Moines, IA, totaling 462 miles.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
At least 21 years of age
1 year of commercial driving experience
No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable
Successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances
