Class A Driver
About The Position
This position delivers ice to customers in articulated vehicles (tractor-trailers) that require a CDL class A license. Drivers are either assigned a delivery route or transport truckloads of ice to specific customer locations. The delivery region, route, and type of equipment operated is subject to change depending on business needs. This is a full-time, permanent position with Reddy Ice that includes a competitive hourly wage, a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a company-matching 401(k) plan. Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have a current/valid class A CDL license
- Must possess driving record that meets or exceeds company-qualifying standards
- A minimum of one (1) year experience as a driver in a vehicle similar to which you will be assigned to operate during the time of employment with the company is required
Nice To Haves
- Three years previous route delivery driver or DSD experience
Responsibilities
- Delivers ice to customers in articulated vehicles (tractor-trailers) that require a CDL class A license.
- Assigned a delivery route or transport truckloads of ice to specific customer locations.
- Unloads, loads, and rotates product in merchandisers / iceboxes.
- Required to lift 40 lbs. throughout the day.
- Required to work in all weather conditions.
- Will perform work in retail stores; frequently driving between retail stores and plant location.
