About The Position

NIS Express is seeking entry-level CDL-A drivers in Texas for dry van freight, primarily east of I-35. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who have recently completed truck driving school and possess a Class A CDL. The role includes a comprehensive training program where new drivers are paired with a personal trainer for 4 to 6 weeks, running real freight and receiving hands-on evaluation. Drivers will earn $650 per week during this training period and will not go solo until their trainer deems them ready. The training covers safe operation of a Class A tractor-trailer, ELD systems, hours-of-service rules, inspections, and company procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years old
• Clean driving record
• Able to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Run a Class A tractor-trailer in full compliance with DOT regulations
• Haul dry van freight, mainly east of I-35
• Stay on schedule and keep on-time delivery numbers strong
• Stay current on ELD logs, DVIRs and trip paperwork
• Inspect equipment thoroughly before and after every shift
• Keep dispatch and customers informed
