About The Position

Class A Driver From Warehouse to Worksite, You're the Link That Keeps Roto-Rooter Moving! We are growing and have an excellent opportunity for a Class A driver for sewer & water services repairs/replacements at our Bridgeport branch, located in Stratford, CT. The hourly pay range for this position is $24.00-$26.00, depending on experience. As a Class A driver for Roto-Rooter Services Company, you may drive vehicles such as heavy-duty plumbing trucks, septic pump trucks, vacuum trucks, or sewer jetting vehicles.

Requirements

Current CDL Class A license
Able to work in confined spaces and open trenches
Complete jobs within specified time lines
Able to help out in excavation digs

Nice To Haves

Construction experience a plus in both residential and commercial
Equipment operator a major plus
Trenchless water, sewer & gas experience a plus
Work a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends

Responsibilities

Follow OSHA, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Root-Rooter safety procedures
Interact with customers as needed
Perform manual labor in an open excavation
Operate and maintain equipment
Work in confined spaces and open trenches
Set up hoses, pumps, and mechanical systems to clean septic tanks or clear municipal sewer lines
Ensure all heavy tools, waste tanks, and construction materials are safely loaded, balanced, and tied down before transit
Help unload materials, set up job site safety perimeters, or assist technicians with hands-on tasks when needed
Interact professionally with clients on-site, explain service procedures, and confirm delivery or pumping details
