About The Position

Maine Oxy is hiring a full-time CDL-A HazMat driver based out of Auburn, ME. This role offers dedicated weekly routes, and ideal for drivers looking for stability without long-haul uncertainty. This is an active, hands-on role which is ideal for drivers who prefer staying engaged throughout the day rather than sitting behind the wheel for long stretches.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience (or recent driving school within 4 years)
• Clean driving record (no accidents/violations in past 3 years)
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs regularly; occasionally 75+ lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to safely detect potential gas leaks (smell/hearing)
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver helium cylinders to established customers
• Load/unload cylinders and return empties to the fill plant
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain DOT compliance
• Build relationships with repeat customers and help manage their inventory needs
