About The Position

Ajax Turner Company, Inc. is Tennessee's largest beer distributor with its operation located in LaVergne. The company has been in operation for over 50 years and is family owned and operated. The Company distributes a variety of products including Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, Heineken, and Sparkling Ice products, among many others. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $59,410.00 - $76,200.00 per year. The schedule involves starting at approximately 5 AM until completion of the route, with no set off time, averaging 40-50 hours per week. Importantly, there are no weekends and employees are home each day. The company offers year-round job stability, uniforms, and career advancement opportunities through internal promotion.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
Excellent driving record and clean criminal history.
Must be able to drive or learn to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
Can build product displays, stock cooler shelves, stack cases, etc.
Ability to effectively and safely operate a dolly(aka hand truck, two-wheeler).
Friendly, courteous, works well with others, and maintains a professional appearance.
Ability to work flexible hours, hours might vary during different seasons.
Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Has a strong commitment to customer service with the ability to effectively work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Delivering products in a safe and timely manner to all customers, following an assigned daily route.
Will repetitively lift 40-50 pounds throughout the day.
Rotate all products, stock shelves, report out of stocks, organize back stock, and relocate products as directed.
Submitting all required paper work, sales invoices, communication forms, and customer payments every day.
Ensuring loads are built and loaded in truck accurately, reporting any loading errors.
Cultivating a superior knowledge of company's portfolio.
Reporting vehicle maintenance issues and accidents according to company policies.
Maintaining published product freshness standards in assigned retail accounts by monitoring and rotating stock.
