About The Position

The Class A Driver will be responsible for transporting company inventory and materials between the distribution center in Stockton, CA and branch locations in Idaho. The position requires safe, professional operation of commercial vehicles while ensuring on-time deliveries and compliance with all DOT and company regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Doubles/Triples endorsement required.
  • Minimum 2 years of Class A driving experience.
  • Experience operating 53' curtain-side trailers or flatbed trailers.
  • Experience with cargo securement, including chaining and load restraint procedures.
  • Experience hooking and unhooking doubles/triples combinations.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
  • Clean driving record and ability to meet company driver qualification standards.
  • Ability to pass DOT-required drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to climb in and out of commercial vehicles and trailers.
  • Ability to connect and disconnect trailers and associated equipment.
  • Ability to secure loads and handle cargo securement equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 80 pounds as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous linehaul or transfer-route experience.
  • Experience operating sleeper-cab tractors.
  • Experience driving in mountain and winter-weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled transfers between company locations.
  • Ensure Idaho deliveries arrive by 5:00 AM on Monday and Thursday mornings.
  • Safely operate a new International sleeper-cab tractor.
  • Pull and maneuver 53' curtain-side trailers and doubles/triples combinations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation documentation.
  • Properly secure cargo, including the use of chains and load securement equipment.
  • Hook, unhook, inspect, and safely operate doubles/triples combinations.
  • Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse teams, and branch personnel.
