About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Class A Driver to join our team at MAT LAX. This full-time position involves driving tractor-trailer combinations to deliver products to customers efficiently and accurately. The role requires adherence to all traffic laws, proper cargo management, and meticulous record-keeping. You will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical soundness of the vehicle, meeting delivery schedules, and performing daily maintenance. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, starting at 12:00 PM, with home daily.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years CDL driving experience.
Valid California Class A license and current medical card.
Experience transporting and handling freight.
Current 10 Year DMV printout.
Hazardous Materials endorsement required.
Ability to pass Security Threat Assessment (TSA) background check.
Ability to read and comprened instructions in English.
Basic mathematical skills.
Extensive knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Route delivery experience and familiarity with Los Angeles County preferred.
TWIC preferred.
DBIDS preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive tractor-trailer combinations to deliver product to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
Communicate and coordinate respectfully with dispatchers.
Obey and follow all applicable traffic laws.
Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance within vehicle.
Maintain drive log in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Ensure mechanical issues with vehicle are noted and corrected before driving.
Meet delivery schedules.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
Report defect, accidents, and violations.
Perform basic daily maintenance of truck (i.e, refueling, cleaning, etc.).
Load and unload tucks with forklifts and/or pallet jacks.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports.
Record cargo deliveries.
Verify loads for accuracy.
