About The Position

Dennis Food Service, a 100% Employee-Owned Company, is seeking an experienced Class A Delivery Driver for its Bangor, ME location. This full-time position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with the option for weekend work, and drivers are home every night. The role involves delivering frozen, refrigerated, and dry goods to a diverse customer base, including schools, hospitals, restaurants, and convenience stores. Compensation is performance-based, considering miles driven, pieces delivered, and number of stops. The company offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, with $2,500 paid after 6 months and $2,500 after one year.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A driver’s license
• 2–3 years of delivery experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Team-oriented, professional, and safety-focused
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., with frequent lifting of 10–80 lbs.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check

Responsibilities

• Deliver frozen, refrigerated, and dry goods to a diverse customer base.
• Arrive on time for scheduled route.
• Deliver correct products efficiently and safely within assigned territory.
• Maintain strong customer relationships.
• Report accidents or equipment issues.
• Accurately maintain a DOT logbook.
• Communicate regularly with the Transportation Manager.
• Serve as the final checkpoint for food safety and quality compliance.
