About The Position

We are seeking experienced Class A CDL Truck Drivers for a local, home-daily position based in Terrell, TX. Drivers will operate within a 250-mile radius of Terrell, running mostly reefer and occasional dry vans with 53 ft trailers. The dispatch window is from 2 PM to 12 AM, with a 10-hour dispatch window daily, dependent on freight. Backhauls are 70% drop and hook and 30% live load/unload, with NO TOUCH FREIGHT. Drivers will be driving day cabs and sometimes sleepers, mostly Volvo and Freightliner. Home time includes 5 days off and 2 consecutive days off during the week (Tues-Wed or Wed-Thurs).

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
Current Class A CDL
Minimum 12 months experience in the last 3 years
Clean driving record
Acceptable references
Must meet all DOT qualifications
Live within 40 miles of Terrell, TX

Responsibilities

Perform all duties safely and responsibly.
Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or customer rules, standards, and guidelines.
Physically capable of performing all job duties, which include moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting.
Frequently use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg.
Report all problems with equipment, as well as accidents, traffic violations, and damage before, during, and after the route.
Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
Perform routes, pickups & deliveries based on customer requirements.
