About The Position

In this position, we are seeking a self-motivated, reliable individual to join our transportation team, supporting the company’s production facility to meet the needs of our customers. The Class A CDL Trailer Driver is a safety minded, energetic individual who is responsible for driving company vehicles to deliver products to internally between facilities and externally. The Class A CDL Trailer Driver is also responsible for the daily processing of information related to both the shipping of finished and in-process product and maintenance of the yards around our facilities. This position also works as an ambassador to customers and vendors and maintains positive relationships with suppliers and customers.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A or B license
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general mechanical, construction, or facilities-related tasks.
  • Basic math skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as needed

Responsibilities

  • Safely drives the company vehicles (i.e. Straight Truck, Van, Pick-up, etc.) and represents PS Seasoning professionally.
  • Safely load and unload vehicles and move materials with a fork truck and pallet jack
  • Complete delivery related paperwork, such as Bills of Lading and Proof of Delivery receipts.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections, log reports, and follow all DOT regulations and internal company protocols.
  • Maintain operational and safety standards for all assigned vehicles.
  • Ensure the proper securing of loads and safe delivery practices.
  • Act as a substitute driver as required to support departmental coverage.
  • Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on fleet vehicles and small equipment.
  • Support preventative maintenance schedules for production and facility tools or systems.
  • Track service intervals and coordinate with third-party vendors for repairs beyond internal capability.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and repair parts across locations.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including but not limited to: basic carpentry, drywall repair, painting, minor plumbing, and fixture replacement.
  • Assist in minor construction or renovation activities under supervision.
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and report issues requiring further attention.
  • Support site readiness and cleanliness standards across all locations.
  • Pull, pack, and/or ship customer orders correctly and efficiently
  • Pick orders from stock or staging areas by hand, hand cart, pallet jack, fork truck, meeting defined pick rate metrics
  • Pack product in the appropriate packaging as required for the type of material being shipped
  • Prepare product for shipment to customers including affixing the appropriate labeling which may include address labels and other special labels required by the carriers
  • Verify the quantity and quality of materials picked and packaged for accuracy
  • Use of a handheld scanning gun device for inventory and order picking
  • Maintain the yard in an organized and clean manner
  • Perform regular inspections of the yard and equipment to identify and address any issues
  • Use forklift to move materials
  • Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned
