About The Position

As a Class A CDL tractor trailer driver, you will complete routine trips between the transfer station and tipper platform area at Dry Creek Landfill with a 53ft trailer. This position requires you to adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures at multiple safety sensitive sites, as well as perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires. Subject to pre-employment drug testing and random selection drug and alcohol testing per DOT requirements and Company policy.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL with Air Brakes Endorsement
Must be able to operate both Manual & Automatic transmission vehicles.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
Minimum 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
Clean Driving Record (MVR Check)
Pass a Drug screen
Pass a Physical Capacity exam

Waste experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class A Tractor Trailer Truck.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to unload refuse and dispose of trash at Dry Creek Landfill.
Complete routine trips between the transfer station and tipper platform area at Dry Creek Landfill with a 53ft trailer.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures at multiple safety sensitive sites.
