About The Position

The Skipper Driver is responsible for the operation of a grease collection truck, fat and bone collection truck, and tractor trailer to collect raw material and finish goods deliveries while providing quality service to our customers. This role also involves container maintenance. The work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with a start time that can vary weekly due to the nature of being a fill-in driver. Overnight runs may be required, and a shift differential of $.50 will be provided when covering these runs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age.
Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
Current CDL "A" license holder with tanker endorsement.
Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

Pump or load grease containers, ensuring cleanliness of the container and surrounding area.
Secure containers with a screen and lock, noting any damages to the container or corral area.
Properly complete route tickets with customer signatures.
Service customer containers and/or trailers (bulk or retail), ensuring cleanliness and tarping trailers as required.
Operate a company vehicle, keeping it in clean condition.
Conduct all safety checks and inspections of the vehicle.
Operate the vehicle under state, federal, and local regulations, and in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Observe all company safety rules and attend all safety meetings.
Maintain excellent customer relations by presenting a professional appearance and attitude.
Complete all company-required paperwork, including route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, and service forms.
Maintain and update the vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
