About The Position

A Route Driver - Home Daily is responsible for the operation of a truck to collect fabrication material from slaughter facilities and on farm fallen animals. This role offers a work-life balance environment with local runs, ensuring drivers are home daily. The position guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week and for Saturday work. Benefits include paid vacations and holidays, family medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401K plan. It is a steady full-time position with overtime usually available.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
• Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/
• Must be able to handle outside elements, summer heat and winter cold.

Responsibilities

• Collects and inspects products at the time of pick up for any foreign or hazardous material at the customer location.
• Maintains an Electronic DOT log.
• Responsible for company vehicle; operates vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conducts all safety checks and inspections of the vehicle; operates vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observes all company safety rules.
• Completes vehicle condition report on a daily basis; operates under all Company safety standards.
• Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.
• Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis.
• Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
