About The Position

H&S Enterprises, Inc., works exclusively with Cash-Wa Distributing, one of the largest privately-owned food service distributors in the Midwest, to deliver products to their customers. The company is looking for Class A CDL Route Drivers who enjoy making connections with and helping local businesses grow. This role offers competitive pay, extremely low medical insurance premiums, a $1,500 new driver sign-on bonus, and quarterly bonus potential. It is a family-owned company that values family. Drivers will start and end their day in Salina, Kansas. The role involves regular routes (4-5 days/week) or overnight routes (4 days/week with a $1.50/hr incentive pay). Drivers will pick up loaded trailers, follow delivery routes, build loads for customers, scan delivery tickets, work with customers on product placement, obtain signatures, and develop relationships with repeat customers. Regular routes typically start between 4:00-4:30 am and end between 1 pm to 4 pm, with some longer days, averaging 40+ hours per week. Overnight routes involve travel, deliveries, overnight stays in hotels with a $40 per diem, and potentially picking up backhauls. The company's continued growth provides additional opportunities for drivers.

Requirements

• 18 years old (21 for routes crossing state lines)
• Current CDL, or ability to obtain within 3 months
• Have a good driving record
• High school or equivalent education

Responsibilities

• Start and end your day in Salina, Kansas
• Make connections with and help local businesses grow
• Utilize your CDL license
• Pick up the packed trailer/loaded tractor and follow the delivery route given
• Build loads to take in to the customer at each stop
• Read and scan delivery tickets with attention to detail
• Work with the customer on where to place their products
• Get required signatures
• Develop relationships with repeat customers
• Spend 3-5 hours traveling (for overnight routes)
• Finish remaining deliveries and returns to Salina (for overnight routes)
• Possibly pick up a back haul before making your last delivery and starting the drive home (for overnight routes)
