About The Position

At our warehouse and outside yard, our CDL drivers are responsible for material pickups and deliveries to customers in a safe and timely matter. CDL Drivers also work with our warehouse team to organize, rotate stock, assist in maintenance of equipment, load and unload material. Bowman Construction Supply Inc. services customers in the construction, transportation, and environmental industries in both commercial and residential markets with technical expertise, critical materials, and exceptional customer service. We offer innovative vegetation, erosion, and sediment control solutions and stormwater infrastructure solutions. We also provide expertise in unique infrastructure design and development. Requirements

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
Ability to remain focused in busy environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Class A CDL.
Must adhere to all safety rules at all times
Must be able to lift 55+ pounds at a time.
Willingness to work long hours, particularly during high peak business season, sometimes undesirable ranges of climate and weather conditions.
Frequent exposure to heavy equipment.
May need to work in all weather conditions.
Must be able to travel frequently.
Prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab.
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
Applicants must also be able to pass a background check, a DOT drug screening, and have a clean Motor Vehicle Report.

Responsibilities

Operates a truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals.
Assists with loading and unloading of goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area.
Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to shipping office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete.
Keeping delivery vehicles clean and looking professional
Keeping warehouse manager aware of maintenance items needed on vehicles and assisting with any repair and maintenance of equipment.
Organizing products and rotating stock as product is received
Daily upkeep with products to maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard
