About The Position

Triumvirate Environmental is hiring a Class A CDL driver for its team in Newington, Connecticut. The role involves driving long distances, overnight trips, and occasional weekends to transport waste and collect drums. The driver transports hazardous and non-hazardous waste, follows applicable regulations, maintains vehicle and work-hour records, completes required documentation, and communicates with dispatch, supervisors, and clients. This safety-sensitive position reports to the onsite Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Active Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening, including THC.
Participation in random drug screening, including THC, after employment.
Ability to lift 60 pounds regularly.
Willingness to work flexible hours within the work week.
Ability to work overtime regularly.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Ability to drive a manual transmission.
Previous experience in environmental services or a related field.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials to disposal or recycling facilities.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain accurate digital logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status in accordance with DOT regulations.
Accurately complete required manifests and other documentation.
Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and clients to support timely and accurate service delivery.
Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
Secure loads for safe and compliant transportation.
Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
