About The Position

Tidewater Environmental Services, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Operator to join our team in Kent, WA! In this role, you’ll support the Pacific Northwest’s industrial and marine communities by safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials to customer locations. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and operating a variety of specialized equipment, including tractor-trailer combinations, roll-off trucks (straight truck and trailer), street sweepers, and wet/dry vacuum trucks (tankers and guzzlers). This position will maintain a teamwork mentality and work effectively with others. Maintain clear and professional communication with employees and customers via cell phone and face-to-face interactions. Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times. Safely load and unload equipment, materials, and vacuum hoses. Ensure the successful, safe, and timely transportation and delivery of products. Operate commercial vehicles and specialized equipment in compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company procedures. Follow safe work practices, maintain regular attendance, and participate in on-call assignments as required.

Requirements

  • A valid Class A driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsements.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule with up to 14 hour days, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel to job sites that include out-of-town work as required.
  • Must meet and maintain DOT medical clearance criteria and ability to wear a respirator (no facial hair).
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) required for job site location (i.e. earplugs, protective eyewear, goggles, life vest, face shield, crush-resistant footwear and hard hat).
  • Obtain and maintain a valid TWIC Card in accordance with Department of Homeland Security and TSA guidelines within 15 days of hire date.
  • All employment offers are contingent on the successful completion of a pre-employment physical, DOT drug screen, criminal background check, and driving record check.
