About The Position

American Driver is seeking Class A CDL drivers based in New Bern, NC. This is a full-time W2 position with a paid training program available for new drivers who qualify. The training program lasts 4-6 weeks, involving riding with an experienced mentor and working on real loads from the first week. Training covers ELD, logbooks, HOS, inspections, and customer interaction, with weekly pay throughout. Upon completion, drivers transition to solo at $0.56 CPM. The role involves dry van, no-touch loads, with approximately 60% drop and hook operations, consistently delivering 2,200–2,500 miles weekly on Eastern OTR lanes with steady freight volume and predictable dispatch. Drivers can expect consistent home time every two weeks, planned in advance. They will drive late-model Freightliner or Kenworth trucks (2022–2025), each equipped with an APU.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Must be 21+ years old
• Graduates of an accredited CDL program with at least 120 hours of instruction are eligible for paid training
• No serious violations in the past 3 years
• No DUI within the last 5 years
• Must pass hair follicle and urine drug screening
