About The Position

This position requires a Class A CDL license with a HazMat endorsement. The driver must adhere to all traffic regulations and the USL Vehicle Policy, and have successfully completed a defensive driving course. Responsibilities include manually handling equipment for loading, transporting, and unloading, working in various outdoor environments, and navigating stairs and ladders. The role also involves being on call for emergencies and transporting equipment when necessary. Drivers should expect 10-12 hour shifts, potentially including extended periods away from home, and must be able to handle a high degree of responsibility where errors could have severe consequences.

Requirements

• CDL Class A license with a HazMat endorsement required
• Successful completion of a defensive driving course
• Ability to manually handle various pieces of equipment as required for loading, transporting and unloading
• Ability to work in a variety of outdoor environments and negotiate stairs and ladders
• Willingness to function on call as required and transport required equipment in the event of an emergency
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts which may include extended periods of time away from home
• Ability to handle a high degree of responsibility where errors in judgment or attention could lead to grave or life-threatening consequences
