Regional Positions…. Safe operation of a TADC with a 53’ dry van. New equipment, state of the art technology, 80% drop and hook. This role involves the safe and effective delivery of goods, with the expectation of being home daily. Drivers will operate a TAS with a 53’ dry van and must adhere to all Corrugated Logistics policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations for commercial motor vehicle operation. An offered load cannot be refused. The position requires thorough pre-trip inspections and regular inspection of assigned equipment, submitting written reports on the condition of the tractor and trailer. Drivers will operate tractor-trailer equipment in various configurations, weights, and conditions, in urban and rural settings, for extended periods and long distances. Responsibilities include dropping, hooking, spotting, switching, and interchanging equipment, including converter gear and landing gear. Ensuring all required shipping documentation accompanies deliveries and properly securing cargo are also key duties. Frequent communication with Dispatch/Operations via PeopleNet or phone is necessary to report stops, movements, equipment issues, cargo problems, and delays. Drivers must report all accidents or incidents involving company equipment and be prepared to interact with public safety officials and the general public. Any moving violations, in either a CMV or personal vehicle, must be reported. Maintaining an electronic driver's log in accordance with FMCSA and Corrugated Logistics requirements, and staying knowledgeable of one's own hours of service, is critical. Completing necessary paperwork, including inspection reports, manifests, bills of lading, trip pay and fuel/mileage reports, and accident reports, is required. Verifying shipping documentation against load information, noting any discrepancies, and performing roadside inspections as required are also part of the role. The job may involve working in adverse weather conditions without temperature or other environmental controls. Performing work in a timely manner and maintaining adequate production to meet service schedules are essential. Professional communication with all company contacts is expected.
