About The Position

American Driver is hiring Class A CDL drivers in Dalton, GA. This position is open to new drivers in the industry, with paid training provided. Dalton's location on I-75 provides access to consistent Eastern OTR lanes with steady freight volume year-round. The role involves dry van, no-touch freight with a significant amount of drop and hook. Drivers can expect to haul real freight from week one of training, covering essential skills like ELD compliance, HOS rules, inspections, and customer communication. After a 4-6 week paid training program with a mentor, drivers will go solo at $0.56 CPM, averaging 2,200-2,500 miles weekly. Earnings can increase up to $0.65 CPM with experience, with most drivers taking home $1,200–$1,500 per week, plus additional pay for stops, layovers, and breakdowns. An automatic pay review occurs at six months. Drivers will receive $300 for orientation week and direct deposit weekly.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid Class A CDL
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • No major violations in the past 3 years
  • No DUI within the last 5 years
  • Pass pre-employment urine and hair follicle drug screening
  • Graduates of an accredited CDL program with at least 120 hours of instruction are eligible for paid training
