About The Position

The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for operating commercial vehicles, adhering to traffic regulations and company policies, and ensuring the safe loading, transportation, and unloading of equipment. This role requires the ability to work in various outdoor environments, handle equipment, and potentially work extended hours or be on call for emergencies. The position demands a high degree of responsibility due to the potential for serious consequences resulting from errors in judgment or attention.

Requirements

• CDL Class A license with a HazMat endorsement.
• Adherence to all pertinent traffic regulations and the USL Vehicle Policy.
• Successful completion of a defensive driving course.
• Ability to manually handle various pieces of equipment for loading, transporting, and unloading.
• Ability to work in a variety of outdoor environments.
• Ability to negotiate stairs and ladders.
• Willingness to function on call as required.
• Ability to transport required equipment in the event of an emergency.
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts.
• Ability to handle extended periods away from home.
• Ability to handle a high degree of responsibility where errors in judgment or attention could lead to grave or life-threatening consequences.
