Regional Positions available for a Class A CDL Driver. This role involves the safe operation of a TADC with a 53’ dry van, utilizing new equipment and state-of-the-art technology. Approximately 80% of loads are drop and hook. The driver will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of goods, returning home daily. All duties must be performed in accordance with Corrugated Logistics policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the secure and safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV). Loads offered cannot be refused. The driver must conduct thorough pre-trip inspections, inspect the tractor and trailer for defects during and after trips, and submit written reports. Safely operate tractor trailer equipment in various configurations, weights, and conditions, in urban and rural settings, for extended periods and long distances. Responsibilities include dropping, hooking, spotting, switching, and interchanging equipment, including converter gear and landing gear. The driver must ensure all required shipping documentation accompanies deliveries, properly secure cargo, and communicate frequently with Dispatch/Operations via PeopleNet or phone regarding stops, movements, equipment issues, cargo, and delays. The driver must report all accidents or incidents, provide initial contact with public safety officials, and report any moving violations in CMV or personal vehicles. Maintaining an electronic driver's log in accordance with FMCSA and Corrugated Logistics requirements is essential, along with staying knowledgeable of own hours of service and reporting discrepancies. Completing necessary paperwork, including inspection reports, manifests, bills of lading, trip pay/fuel/mileage reports, and accident reports, is required. Verifying shipping documentation against load information, noting any discrepancies, and performing roadside inspections are also part of the role. The driver will work in adverse weather conditions and must perform work in a timely manner to meet service schedules, communicating professionally with all company contacts.
