Regional Positions…. Safe operation of a TADC with a 53’ dry van. New equipment, state of the art technology, 80% drop and hook. This role involves the safe and effective delivery of goods, with drivers returning home daily. The driver will operate a TAS with a 53’ dry van, adhering to Corrugated Logistics policies, procedures, and all federal, state, and local regulations for commercial motor vehicle operation. Load refusal is not permitted. The driver is responsible for pre-trip inspections, inspecting and reporting on the condition of assigned equipment, and safely operating tractor-trailer equipment in various configurations, weights, and conditions. Duties include dropping, hooking, spotting, and switching equipment, as well as managing converter gear and landing gear. The driver must ensure all required shipping documentation accompanies deliveries, properly secure cargo, and maintain frequent communication with Dispatch/Operations via PeopleNet or phone regarding movements, equipment issues, cargo, and delays. Reporting all accidents or incidents involving company equipment and providing initial contact with public safety officials is required. Drivers must report any moving violations in personal or company vehicles and maintain an electronic driver's log in accordance with FMCSA and Corrugated Logistics requirements, staying knowledgeable of their hours of service. Completion of necessary paperwork, including inspection reports, manifests, bills of lading, trip pay and fuel/mileage reports, and accident reports, is essential. Verification of shipping documentation against dispatch information, noting any discrepancies, and performing roadside inspections are also part of the role. The position requires working in adverse weather conditions without environmental controls and maintaining adequate production to meet service schedules. Professional communication with company contacts is expected.
