About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This role involves daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, operating trucks with standard transmissions, and loading/unloading equipment such as skid loaders, backhoes, pavers, and rollers. The driver will be responsible for reporting any vehicle or equipment issues to the maintenance department, maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle interior, and assisting the crew as a laborer when instructed by the foreman. The position also requires fueling the truck at the end of the day and returning keys to the proper location. Training will be provided for operating an Elgin Sweeper.

Requirements

Class A CDL.
Medical DOT card.
OSHA 10+ training.
Must abide by all safety policies.

Hoisting License.

Responsibilities

Perform daily pre-trip inspections.
Operate trucks with standard transmissions, including Eaton/Fuller split shift transmissions.
Load and unload equipment (skid loaders, backhoes, pavers, rollers) on and off the trailer.
Report any and all problems related to vehicles/equipment to the maintenance department.
Keep the interior of the vehicle neat and clean at all times.
Perform post-trip inspection of the truck and report any problems with truck equipment.
Work with the maintenance department to identify potential vehicle/equipment problems and assist shop mechanics.
Get equipment to the job site on schedule, understanding site location and driving directions.
Assist the crew as a laborer on the job as instructed by the foreman.
Maintain the assigned vehicle.
Fuel the truck at the end of the day.
Return keys to the proper location.
Operate Elgin Sweeper (training provided).
