About The Position

Extreme Demolition & Land Clearing, LLC is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to transport construction materials, equipment, and trailers to and from job sites throughout Southwest Florida. This position is responsible for operating commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining equipment, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys being part of a team that keeps projects moving forward.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Minimum of two years of Class A CDL driving experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass drug, alcohol & background screening as required by DOT.
  • Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience operating dump trailers, walking floor trailers, and log trailers preferred.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe commercial driving practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team environment.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to lift, carry, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, balance, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
  • Commitment to maintaining equipment and representing the company professionally.
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as project demands require.
  • Must maintain a safety-first attitude and comply with all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from project sites.
  • Read and understand permit routes, load restrictions, and delivery instructions.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes while meeting project schedules.
  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles in varying weather, road, and traffic conditions.
  • Operate dump trailers, walking floor trailers, log trailers, and other company equipment as assigned.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip instructions in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Complete required driver logs, inspection reports, mileage logs, and transportation documentation.
  • Secure and inspect loads to ensure safe transportation.
  • Monitor vehicle gauges and report mechanical issues immediately.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance and maintain vehicles in clean, safe operating condition.
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and securing construction materials when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and field personnel regarding deliveries and schedules.
  • Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers, vendors, and job site personnel.
  • Assist crews with general labor duties when deliveries are complete and as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
