About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to operate refrigerated trailers during 3rd shift hours. The driver will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of temperature-controlled freight, ensuring product integrity and on-time delivery. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time-management skills, and the ability to work independently during overnight operations.

Requirements

  • Able to read, interpret, and use forms and other visual instructions in order to perform required work.

  • Strong knowledge of load securement, reefer unit operation, and temperature-controlled freight handling.
  • Ability to read and understand maps, road signs and shipping papers
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A).
  • Minimum 5 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience (reefer experience strongly preferred).
  • Clean MVR and ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Ability to work overnight/early-morning hours consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicle with a refrigerated (reefer) trailer.
  • Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy.
  • Maintain correct temperature settings and continuously monitor reefer unit performance.
  • Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of temperature-sensitive products.
  • Follow all DOT hours-of-service guidelines and maintain accurate logbook/e-log entries.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status or concerns.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, well-kept vehicle.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, delays, or incidents immediately.
  • Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
