About The Position
Since 1967, Tucker Door & Trim has been a well-respected wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows and specialty millwork to the construction industry. Tucker Door & Trim boasts an ever-growing fleet of tractor-trailers making regular deliveries to wholesale customers throughout the Southeastern United States, including Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. We have immediate openings for Class A CDL drivers and want you to join our team of drivers who have lifelong careers with us.
Requirements
- 18 months of proven truck driving experience within the last 36 months
- Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software
- No major moving or driving violations within the last year
- 18 months of class A commercial driving experience
Responsibilities
- Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, safety issues, perform pre-trip, inter-trip and post-trip inspections
- Ensure that delivery schedules are meet as scheduled
- Retain all necessary documents for each trip
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods)
- Ensure compliance with Tucker Door and Trim safety and company policies
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Immediately report defects, accidents or violations
