About The Position

American Driver is hiring CDL A drivers in Florence, SC. This position offers a prime location for drivers running Eastern OTR lanes, situated at the crossroads of I-95 and I-20. New drivers with a Class A CDL and completed school hours are welcome and will enter a fully paid training program. The job involves no-touch dry van freight, with approximately 60% drop and hook. Drivers can expect to run Eastern routes with consistent year-round freight, averaging 2,200–2,500 miles per week. Dispatch is available for both day and night shifts.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Must be age 21+
• 120+ hours of instruction from an accredited truck driving school to qualify for paid training
• No major violations in the last 3 years
• No DUI in the last 5 years
• Must pass a urine and hair follicle drug test

Responsibilities

• Complete a 4-6 week fully paid training program with a dedicated mentor.
• Handle live freight from day one, including real loads and routes.
• Learn and apply knowledge of ELD, HOS, inspections, and daily operations.
• Operate a Class A CDL vehicle on Eastern routes.
• Transport no-touch dry van freight.
• Perform approximately 60% drop and hook operations.
• Maintain an average of 2,200–2,500 miles per week.
• Adhere to dispatch for day and night shifts.
