About The Position

The Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials and vacuum truck operations. The Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator will be responsible for driving and operating efficiently and safely all power equipment and vehicles in accordance with DOT laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 Years’ experience required behind an 18-wheeler.
  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
  • Must possess a valid TWIC card or be able to obtain one.
  • Must be capable of passing a hair follicle and urine drug screen.
  • Must be capable of passing a personal background screen.
  • Must be capable of passing an MVR background screen.
  • Commercial Driver - Pneumatic/Vacuum Operator runs under the FMCSA 70-hour rule.
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
  • Willing to respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week as needed.
  • Willing to perform all required job duties in accordance with training.
  • Willing to perform all job duties in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Willing to understand and follow all given directions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive truck to destination and operates equipment to load, or unload materials.
  • Drives in accordance with applicable Government Codes, Government Regulations, Company and Customer Policies and Procedures on public highways, company and customer property.
  • Prepares customer's delivery ticket specific to the product delivered and obtains customer signature
  • Keeps record of materials and products transported.
  • Maintains records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, and shipping manifests according to state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains telephone contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
  • Reads maps and follow written and verbal geographical directions.
  • Daily Pre-trip and DVIR
  • Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
  • Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.
  • Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
  • Assist in general maintenance of company equipment, service, grease, etc.
  • Wash and clean company equipment - Pressure wash, clean cabs, etc.
  • General housekeeping - sweeping floors, taking out trash, and helping keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Help with future job load outs or unloads from previous jobs - Return equipment and PPE back to designated areas.
