About The Position

WeatherTech Direct is seeking a well-qualified Class A CDL Driver/Forklift Operator to safely operate tractor-trailers and forklifts to transport raw material and finished goods between LOCAL company-owned facilities in the Bolingbrook, IL area. Hourly rate starts at $30/hour with a $1/hour shift premium for 2nd shift and a $1.50/hour shift premium for 3rd shift. OT available after 40 hours. Our drivers are home daily and it is only local driving. Requirements

  • 3 years of steady experience related to the role as outlined above, including driving experience
  • Valid Class A CDL Driver’s License, required DOT certification, and a clean driving record
  • Be registered in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse database
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • Great attendance and punctuality
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work well with and motivate a team
  • Willing to work weekends and overtime, as business demands
  • Be fluent in English
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a vehicle by following company protocols and obeying state/local traffic laws at all times
  • Ensure vehicle is in proper working condition and meets all DOT regulations by performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Report any mechanical or maintenance problems to shift leads or supervisors
  • Use forklifts to transport various material within the manufacturing and warehouse facilities and to load and unload various inbound and outbound freight from the company truck
  • Utilize RF Scanner and computer systems to ensure accurate delivery of goods
  • Print and post-BOLs
  • Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
  • Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition; clean and maintain equipment
  • Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
