About The Position

Coastal Welding Supply, a division of AWG Company, is seeking a Class A CDL Delivery Driver in Baytown, TX. This role is responsible for the safe loading, unloading, transport, and storage of gas and liquid cylinders, as well as other hard good supplies. The driver will make deliveries to customers and other branches, ensuring all paperwork, including delivery tickets, is completed accurately. The position involves out-of-town routes with 3-4 overnight stays per week, with hotel and evening meal per diem provided. Drivers are home on weekends.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent
Class A CDL Required with Hazmat and Airbrakes endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements
Clean driving record
Able to read and write English
Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Ground Assessment and company administered road test
Ability to communicate with customers

Responsibilities

Loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies
Making deliveries to customers or other branches
Filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately
Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
Performs other duties as assigned
