About The Position

ABC Supply, America's largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, is seeking a Class A CDL Delivery Driver. This role ensures the safety of each delivery from departure to completion. ABC Supply is an employee-first company, recognized for its commitment to its employees and fostering professional growth. This position does not require over-the-road travel.

Requirements

Valid CDL – Class A
Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (common cargo is 70-pound bundles of shingles)
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens

Nice To Haves

Straight truck experience is preferred
Semi tractor and trailer truck experience is preferred
Hazmat endorsement is preferred

Responsibilities

Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner
Conduct a safe work zone during each job site
Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely
Document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system
Complete a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Work in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unload them
Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
Provide the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collect the entire due amount on COD deliveries
Perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials onto or off of trucks or into the warehouse as assigned
