About The Position

C&S Wholesale Grocers aims to build the safest, most efficient, and service-oriented fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver, you will begin your career with C&S by training with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching on company and regulatory requirements. Upon successful completion of the new hire training program, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering products and services, while also performing all other assigned duties. All tasks must be completed safely, in a timely manner, and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Requirements

Class A Commercial Driver's License
At least 21 years old
Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam
DOT certified with all qualification requirements
Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures
Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
One year of recent applicable CMV experience or participation/completion of a company approved CDL truck driving school

Responsibilities

Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc…), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product.
Load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day.
Inspect, document, and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
All other duties as assigned.
