About The Position

Trulite is seeking a motivated Class A CDL Company Driver for its Aluminum Facility in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a manual transmission truck to destinations, handling receipts, occasionally collecting payments, maintaining logs, communicating with supervisors, and loading/unloading cargo. The role requires previous over-the-road experience, familiarity with pre/post-trip inspections and online log systems, and comfort with 1-2 overnight trips per week. Requirements

  • Current and active Class A Georgia Driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Must be CDL Licensed.
  • Must pass Driver's Testing.
  • Must pass DOT Physical / Drug Testing.
  • Can operate manual transmission.
  • Proficient in reading and writing English.
  • Capable of working in a physically demanding work environment which includes bending; stretching; pushing, pulling and lifting a MINIMUM of 75 LBS; and extensive fast-paced walking in all weather conditions throughout the year.
  • Knowledge of basic math, ability to read and write the English language, and map reading skills.
  • Previous over the road experience.
  • Familiar with pre and post trip inspections and using online log systems.
  • Enjoy overnight trip (1 night a week out but could be up to 2).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drives truck to destination.
  • Distributes receipts for load picked up.
  • Occasionally collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
  • Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains telephone and / or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
  • Loads and unloads truck.
  • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
