About The Position

Our drivers/technicians are responsible for exhibiting excellent customer service as it relates to the collection and cleaning of grease trap equipment. You will start at the rate of $32.03/hr and will have a yearly increase the next two years. We offer various early morning shift options with an expectation of 40+ hour work weeks (Overtime after 40 hours). All shifts start and end at your home base allowing you to go home at the end of every shift. Walker has a safety-conscious work culture, and we take care of our people. You will be well trained, and equipped to work in a healthy and safe manner.

Requirements

Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
Clean drivers abstract and criminal background check
Certified Professional Driver Safety Training Course Certificate
Must be physically fit and able to perform the work involved and lift 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is an asset
Experience operating a vacuum truck is an asset

Responsibilities

Must perform daily inspections to ensure the safe operation of vehicles and equipment
Responsible for performing collection of preprocessed product, grease trap cleaning and deliveries of processed product to customers
Adhere to superior safety culture and work in a healthy and safe manor
Promote and drive health, safety, legislative and regulatory policies and procedures
Participate in team meetings and contribute where appropriate to continual improvement of work processes and procedures
Focused on excellent customer service for internal and external customers
Mechanically inclined and able to perform routine vehicle maintenance and identify deficiencies in performance which will be reported to fleet maintenance
Ability to work shifts and occasional overtime when required
Advanced knowledge of AIT regulations
