About The Position

Ray-Mont Logistics is a dynamic organization focused on becoming an essential link in the international business supply chain. We provide a variety of operational logistics services, including loading, transportation, and storage of surplus products. Ray-Mont Logistics is currently looking for a full-time, permanent Class 1 Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The Class 1 Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, while ensuring compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 driver's licence.
• Clean driving record.
• DEP in Heavy Vehicle Driving or equivalent training.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy vehicles.
• Knowledge of the container transportation industry.
• Knowledge of the operations and procedures of the various Port of Montréal terminals and container depots across the Island of Montréal is essential.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with colleagues.
• Ability and willingness to work significant amounts of overtime when required.
• Good employment references.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating B-train trailers is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Transporting containers and intermodal units (trailers) throughout the Island of Montréal.
• Optimizing the movement of intermodal units (empty/full) between CN and/or CP yards and our facilities.
• Picking up empty containers from various container depots across the Island of Montréal.
• Delivering full containers to various terminals at the Port of Montréal (MGT/Termont).
• Operating very recent trucks equipped with manual transmissions (10- or 18-speed).
• Working under the supervision of the dispatcher assigned to the driver's shift.
