CEDA is currently seeking experienced, self-motivated, responsible Hydrovac Driver/Operators to operate and maintain a variety of Hydrovac equipment and various specialty tools at our Regina location. Requirements

  • Valid class 1A or 3A license with no more than 5 demerits in the last two years
  • 2-3+ years of directly related work experience operating hydrovacs
  • Must pass a CEDA’s Driver Assessment in a manual transmission (10, 13 and 18 speed)
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • Experience and comfort with confined spaces.
  • Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment and air supply; wearing a full face mask and carrying your own source of oxygen
  • You’re happiest working in a team, sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safely

Responsibilities

  • Operate proficiently hydrovac equipment, high pressure water equipment and various specialty tools
  • Complete minor maintenance and checks on hydrovac equipment
  • Proficient in driving manual transmissions
  • 90% of your day is outside of the truck, boots on the ground!
  • Provide guidance to Labourers as required
  • Ensure safety for all team members and property
  • Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Complete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports and safety documents
  • Strictly observe and enforce all company and client safety requirements
