About The Position

Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. (Van Kam) is one of the largest regional carriers in Western Canada specializing in less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation. With 8 terminal locations across British Columbia, we fulfill shipments to communities within 1-3 days throughout BC and Alberta. Between our own resources and our partner network, our coverage extends beyond Western Canada into the U.S. and Eastern Canada. This position is based in Prince George, BC. We’re looking for a Class 1 Driver who’s ready to roll and has already logged some serious miles. Requirements

Valid Class 1 Drivers License is required
Ability to drive at night is required
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
Must be able to handle with adverse weather conditions and chain up fully as weather indicates.

Responsibilities

Conducting pre-trip and post trip inspections.
When necessary, assist with loading/unloading trailer.
Reporting any issues promptly.
Complying with all regulations regarding transportation and hours of service.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
Communicate effectively with Dispatch team members and provide outstanding customer service.
Must comply with all transportation and safety regulation as required.
Uphold security standards at all times.
