As a Driver, you will play a vital role in delivering materials and equipment safely and on time alongside an experienced field crew, ensuring top-tier quality on every job. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives working outdoors, embraces challenging work, and wants to contribute to infrastructure projects that shape and strengthen our communities across BC. Although we are a union affiliated organization, being an active member is not a prerequisite.

Requirements

  • Valid Canadian class one driver’s license with a clean abstract required.
  • Experience with dump trucks and/or lowbed's.
  • Civil Construction experience.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and safely in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project demands.
  • Excellent punctuality and attendance.
  • Flexible and willing to assist with tasks beyond machinery duties when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Level 2 or 3 First Aid Training an asset.
  • Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and transporting equipment through urban communities.
  • Load and deliver gravels through urban communities.
  • Safely operate in accordance with company and WorkSafeBC standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Conduct daily inspections on machines prior to use.
  • Participate in daily/weekly site meetings.
